The price of battery-grade lithium carbonate rose slightly in February. At the beginning of the month, the price of lithium carbonate was flat. Affected by the epidemic situation, the resumption time of domestic smelters has been delayed. The production in Qinghai is mainly carried out according to the actual plans of the companies, in addition, some smelters in Sichuan, Shandong and other places are also producing normally. Enterprises said that due to the current domestic logistics is blocked delivery, the market is almost no quotation. Lithium carbonate prices rose slightly in the middle of the month. There are few domestic lithium salt rework enterprises.

PKC Makes First Shipment Of PCl₃

Korean company PKC announced that it has made its first shipment of 20 tonnes of phosphorus trichloride (PCl₃) produced at its Saemangeum Plant 1. The shipment was supplied as a paid sample for approval to a global top-tier fine chemical materials company specializing in high-performance antioxidants. The customer plans to use the material as a test feedstock in its antioxidant production process and begin full-scale quality verification. PKC’s phosphorus trichloride (PCl₃) and phosphorus pentachloride (PCl₅), which are being mass-produced at Saemangeum Plant 1, are key raw materials used in secondary battery electrolytes and fine chemical products.
