Tethyan buys Serbian former Silver, Zinc and lead Ore

Published: Apr 2, 2020 15:03

SMM4, March 2: recently, Tethyan announced the purchase of 100 per cent ownership of Serbian companies, with two exploration licenses for the Kizevak and Sastavci silver-zinc-lead mines previously produced in the Raska region of southwestern Serbia. The acquisition will complete the merger of known silver-zinc-lead vein deposits and copper-gold porphyry deposits with many strategic advantages.

Fabian Baker, President and Chief Executive Officer of Tethyan, said: "this acquisition is a key step in Tethyan's strategy to consolidate Serbian historical mining areas and exploration prospects. In particular, the Kizevak project provided an immediate drilling target for Tethys, and we can now drill a strike length of 1.2km between the former open pit mine and Tethys' outstanding drilling results in 2018, reportedly with historical resources. With Kizewak as a cornerstone project, many of the satellite exploration targets identified through historical drilling are within a few kilometres of Kizewak and are related to the possibility of operating within the region as a whole.
