Silicon social inventory changes diverged in north, south China on week

Reduced operations in south China amid dry season continued the destocking trend at Huangpu port and in Kunming. Meanwhile, greater arrivals for month-end shipments for foreign trade lifted the inventories at Tianjin port.

SHANGHAI, Mar 20 (SMM) – Inventories of silicon metal across Huangpu port, Kunming city and Tianjin port increased 1,000 mt from a week ago to 56,000 mt as of Friday March 20, showed SMM data.


Reduced operations in south China amid dry season continued the destocking trend at Huangpu port and in Kunming. Meanwhile, greater arrivals for month-end shipments for foreign trade lifted the inventories at Tianjin port.
