China set tougher lead and zinc industry standards

The MIIT on Tuesday issued new standards on the lead and zinc industry, raising requirements on energy conservation, environment protection, resource utilisation and safe production.

SHANGHAI, Mar 4 (SMM) – Zinc and lead miners and smelters in China are likely to see higher costs as tougher industry standards will come into force at the end of this month.

 

The Ministry of Industry and Information Technology on Tuesday issued new standards on the lead and zinc industry, raising requirements on energy conservation, environment protection, resource utilisation and safe production.
