Stocks increased 1,000 mt from last Friday January 17 to 76,000 mt as of Thursday January 23

SHANGHAI, Jan 23 (SMM) – Inventories of silicon metal across Huangpu port, Kunming city and Tianjin port increased 1,000 mt from last Friday January 17 to 76,000 mt as of Thursday January 23, showed SMM data.

Trades were muted in the last week ahead of the Chinese New Year holiday, while there were some arrivals at the warehouses, which led to an increase in inventories.

Silicon inventories are likely to fall after the CNY holiday, as orders that failed to be delivered ahead of the CNY holiday due to tight shipping capacity will be delivered.
