November unwrought aluminium alloy imports more than tripled from a year ago

China imported 31,100 mt of unwrought aluminium alloy in November, up 86.9% from a month ago and 242.1% from a year ago

SHANGHAI, Dec 25 (SMM) – China imported 31,100 mt of unwrought aluminium alloy in November, up 86.9% from a month ago and 242.1% from a year ago, according to SMM calculations based on data from China customs. This marked a fresh all-time high.

SMM expects China’s imports of unwrought aluminium alloy to reach 40,000 mt in December, bringing the full-year volume to 190,000 mt, up 158.9% from 2018.
