Guoxuan High-Tech to add 7GWh lithium battery capacity in Tangshan 

SHANGHAI, Nov 20 (SMM) – Hefei Guoxuan High-Tech, a Chinese power battery supplier, said on November 18 it has signed a cooperation agreement with Tangshan government to build a 5G new energy industrial base that involves 7GWh capacity of lithium-ion batteries. 

With an investment of 5.5 billion yuan, the project is scheduled to finish construction in the third quarter of 2021 and officially commission before end 2021. 

Completion of the project will see the company’s lithium-ion battery capacity in Tangshan expanding to 10GWh. 

This makes Tangshan one of the top eight manufacturing bases of Guoxuan High-Tech.
