Iron ore arrivals at Chinese ports fell 1.81 million mt on week

SHANGHAI, Nov 5 (SMM) – SMM estimates that 84 vessels carrying 11.56 million mt of iron ore arrived at major Chinese ports during October 27-November 2, down 1.81 million mt from the week ended October 26

Ports in Shandong province saw smaller arrivals from the previous week, while deliveries expanded at ports in China’s steelmaking hub, Tangshan.

Last week, iron ore deliveries leaving Australian ports rose 1.79 million mt from the prior week to 15.43 million mt, extending the increase since October. Shipments that departed Brazilian ports were estimated to flat on the week at 7.7 million mt.
