SMM News: at about 17: 14 yesterday, a new energy vehicle caught fire in front of Zhongze Qingquan Company in Songxi Development Zone, Xindeng Town, Fuyang District. The first thing that caught fire was the battery of the vehicle, and the whole car was almost burnt out.
After receiving the police, the Xindeng Fire Squadron dispatched two vehicles, a total of 13 firefighters, to the scene. The whole car was burning at the scene, especially when the front fire was the biggest. The commander ordered a direct stream of water to control the fire. A few minutes later, the fire was brought under control, but there was still open fire at the bottom of the vehicle.
Firefighters checked and found that the batteries of the energy vehicles were burning, but it was difficult to extinguish the fire by using direct water discharge.
The commander applied to the police at the scene for a forklift to turn over the vehicle to put out the fire. More than ten minutes later, the open fire was completely extinguished.
Firefighters learned from the owner that he had been driving the Zhongtai new energy vehicle for three years. When he drove home from work yesterday, he found the vehicle smoking. He quickly got out of the car and put out the fire extinguisher. But the fire got bigger and bigger, so I called the police.
To prevent the resurgence of vehicles, firemen continue to use water to cool the vehicles. After confirming that there was no danger, firefighters observed cracks in the battery at the bottom of the vehicle caused by a collision of hard objects, speculating that the cause of the fire was related to this. But the owner said he didn't know what hit the car.
The reporter learned that the fire did not cause casualties, the cause of the fire and losses are under further investigation.
