Poor consumption grows aluminium billet stocks on week

Stocks grew some 1,600 mt from Jul 18 to stand at 82,700 mt as of Jul 25

SHANGHAI, Jul 25 (SMM) – Inventories of aluminium billet in China increased this week as downstream consumption remained weak.

SMM data showed that stocks of 6063 aluminium billet across five major consumption areas grew some 1,600 mt from Thursday July 18 to stand at 82,700 mt as of Thursday July 25, after they fell 400 mt in the previous week.

Foshan, Guangdong – 43,400 mt

Wuxi, Jiangsu – 14,600 mt

Changzhou, Jiangsu – 11,000 mt

Huzhou, Zhejiang – 9,000 mt

Nanchang, Jiangxi – 4,600 mt
