More arrivals, weak consumption grow stocks of aluminium billet

SMM data showed that stocks of 6063 aluminium billet across five major consumption areas grew some 6,000 mt this week

SHANGHAI, Jun 27 (SMM) – Inventories of aluminium billet in China accumulated this week as greater deliveries arrived at warehouses and downstream consumption cooled. 

SMM data showed that stocks of 6063 aluminium billet across five major consumption areas grew some 6,000 mt from Thursday June 20 to stand at 77,700 mt as of Thursday June 27, after a decline of 2,200 mt in the previous week.

Foshan, Guangdong – 39,100 mt

Wuxi, Jiangsu – 8,500 mt

Changzhou, Jiangsu – 8,500 mt

Huzhou, Zhejiang – 8,200 mt

Nanchang, Jiangxi – 13,400 mt
