Inventories of primary aluminium shrink 64,000 mt on week

This followed after a decline of 70,000 mt last week

SHANGHAI, Jun 6 (SMM) – Primary aluminium stocks in China continued to fall in the week to Thursday June 6, as demand remained decent and limited cargoes arrived. 

SMM data showed that social inventories of primary aluminium across eight consumption areas in China, including SHFE warrants, dropped 64,000 mt from Thursday May 30 to stand at 1.15 million mt as of Thursday June 6. This followed after a decline of 70,000 mt last week. 

Wuxi, Jiangsu – 410,000 mt

Shanghai – 228,000 mt

Nanhai, Guangdong – 253,000 mt

Gongyi, Henan – 84,000 mt

Hangzhou, Zhejiang – 87,000 mt

Tianjin – 54,000 mt

Linyi, Shandong – 9,000 mt

Chongqing –23,000 mt
