Dongfang Special Steel, formerly Jiaxing Iron and Steel Group Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as "Jiagang Company"), was founded in 1972. It was originally a state-owned medium-sized iron and steel enterprise located on Chengbei Road of Jiaxing City. It mainly produces hot rolled round steel and hot rolled ribbed steel bars. With the development of Jiaxing economy and the acceleration of urban speed, the former Jiaxing Company and its surrounding areas are planned as residential areas. Therefore, with the approval of Jiaxing Development Planning Committee, the former Jiagang Company implemented the overall relocation of the base in August 2003. During the implementation of the relocation project, according to the spirit of withdrawal of state-owned capital from competitive fields, Jiaxing Municipal Government proposed to transfer the equity of Jiaxing Iron and Steel Company. In July 2007, with the approval of the State-owned assets Supervision and Administration Commission of Jiaxing City, Zhenshi Group obtained a 100% stake in Jiagang Company by auction, and changed its name to Zhenshi Group Dongfang Special Steel Co., Ltd., after being changed by industry and commerce. At the same time, in February 2015, it was renamed again as Zhenshi Group Dongfang Special Steel Co., Ltd. At present, Dongfang Special Steel mainly produces 300 series of austenitic stainless steel, 400 series of Ferritic stainless steel and other special series of stainless steel. The products are widely used in automobile, household appliances, medical equipment, kitchen tableware, building decoration and other fields.

At present, the enterprise has completed the annual output of 700000 tons of stainless steel wide plate production line and stainless steel wide plate production line supporting annealing washing board 600000 tons project. The main products produced by the enterprise after steelmaking and rolling are steel coil and a small amount of steel coil is flat plate. All the steel coils are processed into the supporting annealing plate production line, and finally the products are exported, while the flat plate is contracted out for pickling annealing treatment and sold out. In order to perfect the product production process, improve the product quality and added value, and finally form the industrial chain of "steel-stainless steel coil; steel-stainless steel plate", Dongfang Special Steel plans to implement the technical transformation project of hot rolling annealing and washing plate with an annual output of 120000 tons of stainless steel. The total investment of the project is 210 million yuan, and it is intended to use the free land in the existing plant area (20 mu) to build stainless steel hot rolling annealing washing plate production line. The new construction area of the project is about 11250m2, which mainly includes production workshops, raw materials, finished products and other buildings. Purchase of heat treatment furnace, roller quenching machine, shot blasting machine, straightening machine, flattening machine, ion cutting unit, box washing plate and drying unit, mill and other production equipment; After the project is put into production, the production capacity of hot rolled annealed washing plate of stainless steel with an annual output of 120000 tons will be formed.
