SMM Nov. 12 News: last week, the copper concentrate spot market is still quiet, spot TC stable above 90 US dollars / ton, the recent transaction TC is in the range of 90 to 94 US dollars / ton, as of Friday, SMM clean mining spot goods reported 90 to 94 US dollars / ton. It's the same as the week before.

The main event, CESCO, will be held this week, and the two sides of the negotiations have begun to travel to Shanghai one after another. In mines, Chile produced 4.25 million tons of copper from January to September, an increase of 7.3 per cent over the same period last year. Of this total, Codelco1- produced 1.29 million tons in September, down 2 per cent from a year earlier, while Collahuasi production increased by 5.8 per cent to 401800 tons. Escondida1-9 rose 57. 8 per cent from a year earlier to 95. 5 per cent. 90000 tons. As for smelters, according to SMM, it still adheres to the bottom line of $80 / ton benchmark, and some large smelters have initially decided on maintenance plans. We expect $80 to $85 a ton is still a high probability range.

A Sharp Decline in SHFE Copper Warrants, Stronger Destocking, Falling Copper Prices, and Robust Downstream Purchasing
According to data released by the SHFE on March 20, SHFE copper warrants fell sharply across the board during the day, with total inventory down 18,528 mt from the previous trading day. The decline widened markedly from the previous trading day, and the degree of destocking further strengthened. By region, warrants in major consumption areas posted significant declines: Shanghai down 10,283 mt, Guangdong down 2,654 mt, and Jiangsu down 5,591 mt. Copper prices extended their decline during the day, and downstream enterprises showed strong enthusiasm for buying the dip. Suppliers actively made shipments as spot discounts narrowed, and a large volume of warrant cargo flowed out and was absorbed by downstream enterprises, reflecting the attractiveness of current price levels to downstream enterprises.

Copper Price Drop Boosts Restocking, Inventory Drawdown Amid Cautious High-Price Orders
【SMM Copper Cathode Rod Flash Update】The pullback in copper prices boosted copper cathode rod enterprises' willingness to restock, with enterprises stockpiling as needed, while continued cargo pick-up from downstream drove a rapid drawdown in finished product inventories. Enterprises are expected to maintain high operating rates next week to ensure deliveries, while remaining cautious about picking up goods for high-priced orders and strictly controlling order intake to avoid risks.
