SHANGHAI, Mar 28 (SMM) – Taiyuan in north China's Shanxi province, close to the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei areas, will extend the yellow alert for heavy pollution till the end of March.
Under the yellow alert, level III emergency measures would be implemented across the region, with heavy industrials scaling back or suspending production.
The yellow smog-alert was previously scheduled to be lifted at CST 24:00 on Wednesday March 27. Taiyuan has been under the yellow alert for much of March.
