Report: China commissions largest ferronickel electric furnace

A ferronickel RKEF production line was commissioned in Shandong Linyi Xinhai New Material Company

Shandong Linyi Xinhai New Material Company recently commissioned a ferronickel rotary kiln and electric furnace (RKEF) production line, reported cnstock.com on Wednesday January 16.

The electric furnace included in the production line has the largest single capacity in China and was developed by Dalian Huarui Heavy Industry Group.

The ferronickel project has production lines of 33 MVA for phase one and eight production lines of 48 MVA for phase two.

After all phases enter production, the project will have an annual production capacity of 122,000 mt of pure nickel.
