Some 800,000 mt of alumina capacity was affected

SHANGHAI, Dec 28 (SMM) – Some 800,000 mt of alumina capacity was affected in Shanxi Huaxing, an alumina producer located in Lvliang, Shanxi province, as the company upgraded its generators to meet ultra-low emission standards from mid-December.

Regular production will resume in the middle of March, the company told SMM. Its current operating capacity stood at 1.4-1.5 million mt.

[SMM Flash News] SHFE data showed that as of March 17, the total registered volume of cast aluminum alloy warrants was 53,078 mt, a decrease of 362 mt from the previous trading day.
