Smaller arrivals extend declines in social inventories of primary aluminium

Stocks came in at 1.32 million mt as of Monday Dec 10

SHANGHAI, Dec 10 (SMM) – Social inventories of primary aluminium across eight consumption areas in China, including SHFE warrants, came in at 1.32 million mt as of Monday December 10, down 35,000 mt from Thursday December 6, SMM data showed.

Lower arrivals to social warehouses and greater deliveries departing extended declines in inventories, SMM learned.

Details:

Wuxi, Jiangsu – 547,000 mt

Shanghai – 333,000 mt

Nanhai, Guangdong – 170,000 mt

Gongyi, Henan – 75,000 mt

Hangzhou, Zhejiang – 90,000 mt

Tianjin – 52,000 mt

Linyi, Shandong – 26,000 mt

Chongqing – 24,000 mt

Social inventories of lead ingots across Shanghai, Guangdong, Zhejiang, Jiangsu and Tianjin expanded 13,600 mt from last Friday July 23 to 172,600 mt as of July 30. This was up 6,500 mt from Monday July 26 and registered a new high since October 2014.
