Social inventories of primary aluminium continue decline amid supply cuts

Stocks came in at 1.352 million mt as of Thursday Dec 6, down 34,000 mt from last Thursday and 15,000 mt from Monday

SHANGHAI, Dec 6 (SMM) – Social inventories of primary aluminium across eight consumption areas in China, including SHFE warrants, came in at 1.352 million mt as of Thursday December 6, down 34,000 mt from Thursday November 29 and 15,000 mt from Monday December 3, SMM data showed.

Arrivals at social warehouses shrank on output cuts across primary aluminium producers and this accounted for the decline in inventories.

Wuxi, Jiangsu – 563,000 mt

Shanghai – 334,000 mt

Nanhai, Guangdong – 179,000 mt

Gongyi, Henan – 82,000 mt

Hangzhou, Zhejiang – 93,000 mt

Tianjin – 52,000 mt

Linyi, Shandong – 24,000 mt

Chongqing – 25,000 mt
