






SHANGHAI, Nov 27 (SMM) – China imported some 80,600 mt of zinc ingot in October, up 18.67% from September and up 31.36% from a year ago, showed the latest data from China Customs on November 27.
Australia was the largest exporter of zinc ingot to China, accounting for 34.12% of China’s total imports in October.
In the first ten months of the year, overall imports of zinc ingot stood at 508,100 mt, up 12.62% from the same period last year.
China’s zinc concentrate imports registered 205,800 dmt in October, down 7.73% from September but up 39.81% from last year. This raised overall imports in January-October by 19.38% on the year, to 2.42 million dmt, the data showed.
Some 27.33% of the zinc concentrate imports were from Peru, the largest exporter to China last month.
