Maintenance at Baosteel plant in Xinjiang to affect molten iron production

Some 7,000 mt daily production of molten iron will be affected

SHANGHAI, Nov 7 (SMM) – Some 7,000 mt daily production of molten iron will be affected at Xinjiang Bayi Iron & Steel under Baosteel Group, as the plant will put a ageing blast furnace of 3,000m³ into maintenance. 

Maintenance is scheduled for November 20-30. This will affect production of hot-rolled coil by some 70,000 mt in November.
