Social inventories of primary aluminium decrease amid few arrivals

Stocks, including SHFE warrants, came in at 1.556 million mt as of Monday Oct 22, down some 27,000 mt from Thursday Oct 18

SHANGHAI, Oct 22 (SMM) – Social inventories of primary aluminium across eight consumption areas in China, including SHFE warrants, came in at 1.556 million mt as of Monday October 22, down some 27,000 mt from Thursday October 18, SMM data showed.

Few cargoes arrived in social warehouses over the weekend and this accounted for the decline in stocks.

Details:

Wuxi, Jiangsu – 667,000 mt

Shanghai – 348,000 mt

Nanhai, Guangdong – 240,000 mt

Gongyi, Henan – 102,000 mt

Hangzhou, Zhejiang – 96,000 mt

Tianjin – 54,000 mt

Linyi, Shandong – 24,000 mt

Chongqing – 25,000 mt
