Aluminium billet stocks further grow in a low season

SHANGHAI, Aug 23 (SMM) – Inventories of aluminium billet across major consumption areas in China continued to grow this week as the low season lingered, SMM research found.

Stocks of 6063 aluminium billet across five major consumption areas increased by 11,200 mt from a week earlier to stand at 103,100 mt as of Thursday August 23, SMM data showed.

Details are as follows:

Foshan, Guangdong – 59,000 mt

Wuxi, Jiangsu – 16,100 mt

Changzhou, Jiangsu – 10,000 mt

Huzhou, Zhejiang – 6,800 mt

Nanchang, Jiangxi – 11,200 mt
