Slack season grows aluminium billet inventory again

SHANGHAI, Aug 16 (SMM) – Inventories of aluminium billet across China rose on the week as of Thursday August 16 amid slack season. 

Inventories of 6063 aluminium billet across five major areas increased by 9,100 mt from last Thursday to stand at 91,900 mt, SMM data showed. 

This came after a week-on-week decline of 2,400 mt recorded last Thursday, flowing five consecutive weeks of increase. 

Details are as follows:

Foshan, Guangdong – 46,300 mt

Wuxi, Jiangsu – 15,900 mt

Changzhou, Jiangsu – 10,000 mt

Huzhou, Zhejiang – 8,500 mt

Nanchang, Jiangxi – 11,200 mt
