SHANGHAI, Aug 8 (SMM) – With one trillion yuan of investment in 70 transport projects over the next five years, Zhejiang province aims to develop a "Greater Bay Area" around the economic zone in its capital Hangzhou, according to a plan by Zhejiang's Development and Reform Commission .
The plan promoted a smart transport system that will support support a 'world class bay area', well linked by ports and airports to the world.
Forty-four of the 70 planned projects will be prioritised this year.
Spokesperson for the Zhejiang Development and Reform Commission, Xie Xiaobo, said that the "Greater Bay Area" in Zhejiang will become a "plateau" for innovation in the global digital economy and drive high-quality development.
