SHANGHAI, Jul 11 (SMM) – As of Wednesday July 11, Huahong and Jinhong steel mills in Xuzhou, Jiangsu province have resumed normal production, an SMM survey found.
Dongnan mill told SMM on July 11 that it will return to operations in two days. Producers Dongya and Bofeng are expected to return next week, SMM learned.
Mills resumed production after their rectification works passed checks by the environmental inspection team. On Monday July 9, some local independent steel mills that produced only with electric arc furnaces (EAFs) resumed operation.
