SHANGHAI, June 27 (SMM) – Some 68 vessels with 10.1 million mt of iron ore are expected to arrive at major Chinese ports during June 22-28, SMM learned.
This is up 1.06 million mt from 9.04 million mt during June 15-21 as arrivals at Tangshan of Hebei province rebound. Meanwhile, arrivals at Qingdao port and ports along the Yangtze River also increase.
For the same period, volumes of iron ore departing Australian ports are likely to grow 790,000 mt to 16.53 million mt. Those leaving Brazilian ports are likely to rise 120,000 mt to 8.25 million mt.
Iron ore inventories across domestic ports are likely to rebound after three consecutive weeks of decline, as shipping from Australian and Brazilian ports resumed from maintenance.
