DashboardDatabaseProReportsEventsConsultingSHANGHAI, Jun 21 (SMM) – A plant in east China that produced #200 stainless steel, with an integrated production of low-grade nickel pig iron (NPI) and stainless steel, is likely to resume production at the end of June, after it recently began to procure ore with a high iron, low nickel content, SMM learned.
Ooutput of 80,000 mt of the #200 series was affected after the plant suspended production on environmental concerns in April.
SMM believes the resumption is likely to impact prices of #200 stainless steel.
