SHANGHAI, May 30 (SMM) – To maintain air quality for the Shanghai Cooperation Organisation (SCO) Summit in Qingdao next month, three steel mills across Lianyungang in Jiangsu province are required to cut production by 30% from May 30 to June 12, according to a recent government notice. Production cuts were made based on production levels in March.
Lianyungang is affected as it is geographically close to Qingdao.
The three mills have embarked on the production cuts, SMM learned.
