Prices of nickel pig iron (NPI) in the domestic market are likely to rise as supply shrank and as traders stockpiled last week

SHANGHAI, May 7 (SMM) – Prices of nickel pig iron (NPI) in the domestic market are likely to rise as supply shrank and as traders stockpiled last week, SMM learned. 

Supply shrank as NPI deliveries from Indonesia declined after margins of exports to south-east Asia exceeded those of exports to China, SMM learned in a survey. 

Domestic NPI price to factory was heard at 1,010 yuan per percentage content of nickel on May 7, SMM learned.
