SHANGHAI, Apr 27 (SMM) – Steelmakers in Jiangsu province were faced with production cutback or suspension due to the region's heavy pollution warning from April 27, SMM learned.
Specifically, Jiangsu Shente Steel is to cut production by 40%, which is estimated to affect daily average output of steel products by 3,000 mt.
Danyang Longjiang Steel in Zhenjiang city suspended its productions to carry out maintenance from April 26 to 29. The steel production impact is estimated at a total of 20,000 mt.
