Aluminium inventory edges up on rising prices

China's inventory of aluminium including SHFE warrants amounted to 2.248 million mt as of Thursday April 19, according to SMM data.

SHANGHAI, Apr 19 (SMM) – China's inventory of aluminium including SHFE warrants rose to 2.248 million mt as of Thursday April 19 as higher prices hampered buyers' activity, according to SMM data. This is up 32,000 mt from 2.216 million mt recorded on Monday April 16.

Details are as follows:

Wuxi, Jiangsu – 921,000 mt

Shanghai – 458,000 mt

Nanhai, Guangdong – 418,000 mt

Gongyi, Henan – 181,000 mt

Hangzhou, Zhejiang – 154,000 mt

Tianjin – 55,000 mt

Linyi, Shandong – 35,000 mt

Chongqing – 26,000 mt
