SHANGHAI, Apr 18 (SMM) – Many steel mills in Xuzhou, Jiangsu province, have yet to resume operation even as the environmental inspection team departed on Wednesday April 18, SMM learned. Inspectors are set to return on April 23.
It remains unclear when mills will resume operations.
SMM also learned that many cities in Jiangsu will undergo environmental supervision by over a dozen environmental inspection teams in next month or two. This is likely to affect production at steel mills.
