Snapshot: Shanxi Taiyuan Iron & Steel settles Apr tender for manganese flake

Shanxi Taiyuan Iron & Steel (TISCO) settled its purchasing price in a tender for manganese flake in April at 12,300 yuan/mt.

SHANGHAI, Apr 10 (SMM) – Shanxi Taiyuan Iron & Steel (TISCO) settled its April purchasing price in a tender for manganese flake at 12,300 yuan/mt, down 2,150 yuan/mt from March, SMM learned. The price includes tax and transport and payments will be made through bank transfers.

The overall procurement volume stood at 600 mt.

Upon full commissioning in 2028, high-end sponge titanium capacity will exceed 50,000 tpa, with magnesium capacity reaching 40,000 tpa and titanium tetrachloride capacity 180,000 tpa. The facility incorporates waste heat recovery and digital control systems, reducing energy consumption by over 15% below industry average, strengthening domestic supply security for aerospace-grade titanium feedstock.
