SHANGHAI, Mar 2 (SMM) – A stainless steel plant in south China said on Thursday March 1 that it would cut 65% of its output of grade-304 stainless steel in March due to losses, SMM learned. The move followed an already lower production of series 300 in February in a bid to stabilise prices.

In 2017, the company's series 300 stainless steel output accounted for 8-9% of China's production. Its output cut in February and March would account for close to 2% of the country's series 300 stainless steel supply.
