China's social inventory of aluminium including SHFE warrants amounted to 2.13 million mt as of Thursday March 1, according to SMM data.

SHANGHAI, Mar 1 (SMM) – China's social inventory of aluminium including SHFE warrants amounted to 2.13 million mt as of Thursday March 1, according to SMM data. This is up from 2.07 million mt recorded on Monday February 26.

Details are as follows:

Wuxi, Jiangsu – 885,000 mt

Shanghai – 417,000 mt

Nanhai, Guangdong – 347,000 mt

Gongyi, Henan – 199,000 mt

Hangzhou, Zhejiang – 159,000 mt

Tianjin – 59,000 mt

Chongqing – 28,000 mt

Linyi, Shandong – 32,000 mt

[SMM Flash] SHFE data showed that as of March 13, the total registered cast aluminum alloy warrant volume was 54,311 mt, down 1,049 mt from the previous trading day. Among them, the total registered volume in Shanghai was 4,780 mt, down 150 mt from the previous trading day; Guangdong was 19,153 mt, down 89 mt; Jiangsu was 6,567 mt, down 180 mt; Zhejiang was 18,000 mt, down 540 mt; Chongqing was 4,144 mt, with a change of 0 mt; Sichuan was 1,658 mt, down 90 mt.

Indonesia Discusses Accelerating Readiness for First Nuclear Power Plant by 2032

[SMM Aluminum Express News] Indonesia's National Research and Innovation Agency (BRIN) organized a cross-ministerial Focus Group Discussion (FGD) titled “Accelerating Human Resource and Institutional Readiness for the Development of the First Nuclear Power Plant” in Jakarta on Tuesday, March 10, 2026. The forum integrates five key dimensions of readiness (technology/standards, institutional/bureaucratic, etc.) and aligns with plans for Indonesia's first PLTN to operate in 2032 (initial capacity ~500 MW, possible sites in Sumatra or Kalimantan). BRIN also projects needing ~200 new nuclear researchers to support the ecosystem, with initiatives like competency standards, training centers (Nuclear Energy Management School), and scholarships.
