Tangshan announces production restrictions on pollution

Tangshan city has launched a level II response to heavy pollution starting from 8am on Thursday January 4.

SHANGHAI, Jan 4 (SMM) – Tangshan city has launched a level II response to heavy pollution starting from 8am on Thursday January 4. This means sinter plants in the region would see production halved while coking times are extended to 48 hours.

It is unclear when the measure would be lifted.
