China’s social inventory of refined aluminium including SHFE warrants surged to near-10-year high at 1.76 million mt on Thursday December 28, according to SMM statistics

SHANGHAI, Dec 28 (SMM) - China’s social inventory of refined aluminium including SHFE warrants surged to near-10-year high at 1.76 million mt on Thursday December 28, according to SMM statistics. This was up 22,000 mt from a week ago.

Details are as follows:

Wuxi 751,000 mt

Shanghai 359,000 mt

Nanhai 320,000 mt

Gongyi 141,000 mt

Hangzhou 116,000 mt

Tianjin 53,000 mt

Chongqing 22,000 mt

SHFE Cast Aluminum Alloy Warrants Down by 1,114 mt to 62,228 mt on March 4

[SMM Flash] SHFE data showed that on March 4, the total registered volume of cast aluminum alloy warrants was 62,228 mt, down 1,114 mt from the previous trading day. Among them, the total registered volume in Shanghai was 5,949 mt, down 121 mt from the previous trading day; Guangdong was 20,908 mt, down 181 mt; Jiangsu was 7,930 mt, down 150 mt; Zhejiang was 20,740 mt, down 422 mt; Chongqing was 4,384 mt, down 150 mt; and Sichuan was 1,203 mt, down 90 mt.

Danantara, INA, and Chandra Asri Sign Agreement to Fund $800M CA-EDC Plant in Cilegon

[SMM Aluminum Express News] Danantara Indonesia, INA, and Chandra Asri Group signed a Conditional Share Subscription Agreement (CSSA) to fund the Chlor Alkali & Ethylene Dichloride (CA-EDC) plant in Cilegon, Banten. INA Acting CEO Eddy Porwanto Poo said the investment supports national priorities, partnering with Southeast Asia’s leading petrochemical player to expand strategic raw materials, advance downstream industries, boost domestic value creation, and strengthen industrial resilience. The USD 800 million National Strategic Project (PSN) will increase local production of Caustic Soda and EDC, cut import reliance, and enhance supply resilience. Danantara and INA will jointly invest USD 200 million, with operations starting in 2027.
