SHANGHAI, Dec 28 (SMM)- A major nickel pig iron (NPI) producer in East China has arranged maintenance for its furnaces, which is estimated to last for at least one month, sources told SMM.
Two furnaces of 33000 Kva have already stopped for maintenance while more are scheduled to follow, according to the sources.
In November, output of the NPI producer accounted for 15% of China’s total production, and 25% of China’s high-grade NPI production. The maintenance is likely to see 30% of the plant’s output affected.
