INSG: Global nickel deficit widens to 9,700 mt

Global nickel supply shortage has widened to 9,700 mt in October, according to data released by the International Nickel Study Group (INSG) on Thursday.

SHANGHAI, Dec 15 (SMM)-Global nickel supply shortage has widened to 9,700 mt in October, according to data released by the International Nickel Study Group (INSG) on Thursday.

While demand stood at 192,400 mt last month, supply was 182,700 mt, INSG said.

In the first 10 months of this year, global deficit stood at 65,700 mt, up from 47,700 mt in the same period last year.
