LME Zinc inventories gains the first rise after consecutive one month’s drop, up 1425 tonnes to 232,100 tonnes.

SHANGHAI, Nov.16 (SMM)-LME Zinc inventories gains the first rise after consecutive one month’s drop, up 1425 tonnes to 232,100 tonnes. Despite low level during past nine years, considering dramatic drop of LME Zinc within the day session, the news is one disaster after another.

On August 24, Silver Bow Mining Corp. announced that it had entered into a definitive asset purchase agreement with Montana Goldfields, Inc. and Montana Tunnels Mining, Inc. to acquire an integrated metallurgical complex in Jefferson County, Montana. The complex includes two separate mineral processing circuits, as well as the historic Montana Tunnels M-Pit. The Jefferson County Metallurgical Complex includes processing circuits with capacities of 15,000 tons per day and 1,000 tons per day, along with crushing and ore storage facilities, a tailings facility and related infrastructure. The 1,000-ton-per-day circuit is expected to be suitable for processing high-grade silver-gold-zinc-lead mineralization from Silver Bow Mining's Rainbow Block resources.

[Fresnilloplc Announces Q2 2026 Production] Fresnilloplc released its Q2 2026 report, which showed a zinc concentrates metal content of 27,600 mt in the second quarter, down 2.6% YoY, mainly due to lower ore grade at Saucito, partially offset by higher ore grades at Fresnillo and Juanicipio. Its zinc concentrates production guidance for 2026 is 85,000-95,000 mt.

[Mine Supply Tightness Unchanged, SHFE Zinc Center Slightly Higher] The most-traded SHFE zinc 2610 contract opened at 26,035 yuan/mt. After the open, SHFE zinc consolidated around the daily average line. At the beginning of the session, SHFE zinc hit a high of 26,125 yuan/mt, then during the session it touched a low of 25,960 yuan/mt. It finally closed higher at 26,070 yuan/mt, up 65 yuan/mt, or 0.25%. Trading volume decreased to 68,652 lots, and open interest increased by 3,279 lots to 152,000 lots....
