Nonferrous Industry in Shanxi Province Gains Profit of 2.53 Billion for Three Quarters

During January to August, the metallurgical industry gains a sales revenue of 205.59 billion yuan, rising 29.9%.

SHANGHAI, Nov.14 (SMM)－
During the first three quarters, pig iron output in Shanxi is 29.491 million tonnes, up 8.4%. Crude steel output is 32.422 million tonnes, up 9.8%. Steel materials 32.271 million tonnes, up 1%. Electrolytic aluminium 741,000 tonnes, up 21.9%. Alumina 14.229 million tonnes, up 13.2%. During January to August, the metallurgical industry gains a sales revenue of 205.59 billion yuan, rising 29.9%. Profits reach 8.87 billion yuan, up 9.27 billion yuan compared with loss last year, Thereinto steel industry gains a profit of 6.34 billion yuan.
