Volvo to Produce Its First Electric Car in China

Volvo’s first electric car will be produced in China and sold to the market in 2019, its CEO Håkan Samuelsson said in an interview.

SHANGHAI, Oct. 11 (SMM) – Volvo’s first electric car will be produced in China and sold to the market in 2019, its CEO Håkan Samuelsson said in an interview.

Volvo announced in July this year that all of its new car models will be electric cars after 2019.

Samuelsson predicted that prices of electric cars will be roughly the same as those of traditional ones by 2025 and is confident over popularization of EVs.
