Aluminum Suppliers in East China Bullish over Prices After Chinese National Day Holiday, SMM Reports

Some suppliers in east China aluminum market showed low selling interest out of bullishness over post-holiday prices.

SHANGHAI, Sept. 29 (SMM) – Some suppliers in east China aluminum market showed low selling interest on the last trading day before the 2017 Chinese National Day Holiday and Mid-Autumn Festival (Oct. 1-8) out of bullishness over post-holiday prices.

Trading was thin since most processors have completed pre-holiday stocking.

Traded prices were mainly between RMB 16,130-16,140 yuan/tonne in Shanghai, discounts of 150-110 yuan/tonne over SHFE 1710 aluminum, versus 16,120-16,150 yuan/tonne in Wuxi and 16,150-16,190 yuan/tonne in Hangzhou.
