SHANGHAI, Sept. 29 (SMM)－Copper mine Grasberg in Indonesia, subordinate of Freeport－McMoRan CopperGold Inc., asked for a six-month extension of negotiation. The previous deadline was next month. Grasberg is the second largest copper mine in the world. Lgnasius Jonan, minister of Mines and Energy, said on Thursday, the new tax system for Freeport is all decided by the Ministry of Finance and selling shares are held by the Ministry of Enterprise.
