Construction steel stocks in Guangzhou’s main warehouses grew at a slower pace this week, SMM statistics showed.

SHANGHAI, Sept. 28 (SMM) – Construction steel stocks in Guangzhou’s main warehouses grew at a slower pace this week, SMM statistics showed.

China Steel Stocks Fall in Week Ending September 28, SMM Says

As of Sept. 28, construction steel stocks rose 2.38% week-on-week to 760,700 tonnes. Among them, rebar stocks were up 1.1% to 510,400 tonnes, while steel wire coil stocks increased 5.1% to 250,300 tonnes.

[SMM Daily Hot-Rolled Coil Trading] On March 18, the total daily trading volume of hot-rolled coil among SMM sample enterprises in four cities (Shanghai, Lecong, Tianjin, and Ningbo) was 14,430 mt, down 640 mt day on day, or 4.2%, with up 14.43% YoY on a calendar basis and down 26.56% YoY on a lunar calendar basis.
