SHANGHAI, Sept. 26 (SMM) – China imported 7,706 tonnes of primary aluminum in August, down 20.7 per cent on a yearly basis, according to China Customs.

China’s inbound shipments of primary aluminum were 85,436 tonnes during the first eight months of the year, down 34.55 per cent on a yearly basis.
Environmental Drive Also Affects New Capacity in Aluminum Processing Sector
In August, China exported 240 tonnes of primary aluminum, down as much as 69.46 per cent on a yearly basis, and exports from January to August fell 33.72 per cent on a yearly basis to 10,892 tonnes, according to China Customs.
