Zinc concentrate TCs in China are still set to fall in the near term due to ore supply tightness, SMM predicts.

SHANGHAI, Sept. 26 (SMM) – Zinc concentrate TCs in China are still set to fall in the near term due to ore supply tightness, SMM predicts.

Some Zinc Mines in Sichuan Remain Closed after Environmental Protection Inspections

Zinc concentrate imports jumped 37% on the month to 226,800 tonnes in August, but zinc ore supplies in China are still limited. Meanwhile, zinc smelters in north China began to hoard stocks for winter production. These reasons will push down zinc concentrate TCs, SMM said.
