SHANGHAI, Sept. 26 (SMM) – It is rumored that Handan Iron & Steel will stop operations at its 2 or 3 blast furnaces from October 1.
The closure, including one 1,000 m3 blast furnace, and one or two 3,200 m3 blast furnaces, will last for 4 months.
Supply of bar, medium plate, hot-rolled and pickled products will fall from next month following the closure. All old production lines of medium plate will be closed, and supply of hot-rolled products will be within 30,000 tonnes.
The closure has not been confirmed by the company, but there is a high possibility of being true.
