SHANGHAI, Sept. 20 (SMM) – Two producers in Henan have begun output cuts for winter heating season in advance, starting from Sept. 19.

SHFE Aluminum Soars after Henan Implements Winter Cuts in Advance

Jiaozuo Wanfang Aluminum will cut aluminum capacity by over 30% based on the number of electrolytic cells, while Chalco Zhongzhou Aluminum will cut alumina capacity by over 30% based on the number of production lines. The cuts will last until Mar. 15, 2018.
